Stay: Bushmills Inn. Bushmills is a quaint, classically Irish inn in a lovely town. Serving delicious meals and comforting pints of Guinness by the fire, Bushmills is a fun spot to be (not to mention, about 10 minutes from the Bushmills distillery, a must-visit)
Stay: Mount Falcon Estate. The luxurious Mount Falcon affords its guests with no shortage of on-site activities (fishing, a driving range, fine dining and of course, a falconry display) but it’s also a wonderfully central place to stay when visiting Northwest Ireland.
Play: Royal (Anything). Royal Portrush, Royal County Down… you can’t find bad golf in Ireland, and frankly, it’s some of the best in the world. You’ll want to bring your camera (your rounds will be long, but no matter).
Play: Ballyliffin (Old). The countries most northern course might be one of its most beautiful, too. A rumpling links with the ocean flanking it – and a view of Glashedy Rock on nearly every hole – The Old Course at Ballyliffin is a memorable one.
Do: Take in the history. Everywhere you look, there is history in Ireland. Castles, mountains, towns, churches… it’s all there to enjoy.
