Winter hiking in Gatineau Park

Ahhh, winter. There’s snow, sleet, slush… but winter can be so much more than just the messiness that comes along with this time of year. Proof? A mild February Saturday afternoon spent hiking in Gatineau Park.

Only 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, this beautiful park is home to kilometres of trails for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and more. We ventured to Sugarbush Trail to scope out its sights, including a cute historic cabin, wooden bridge and hidden rock formation.
