I called it a “dessert” smoothie because it’s the perfect way to satisfy a sweet craving after a light dinner or as an afternoon snack. I would tell them exactly what I’ve learned to be true over the past two years since quitting refined sugar – an idea Gretchen Rubin has remarked about a variety of habits – “it actually takes no willpower. I don’t eat any sugar because I have no willpower at all.
